time to spread the wings

Last night a few of us were at KLIA to send our juniours off. This was the first group to leave and there are 4 groups leaving within the next few days. Gonna miss u all heapsss...
It felt as if it was only yesterday when we were leaving. At that time, 2 years seemed very long but it's actually not.
I thank God for the opportunity to experience life at the other part of the world. 2 years in NZ may be short but it definitely had left a huge impact in many aspects of my life. Praise God.

the wait

Lately, I have been talking to a few people about 'wait'. Indeed, it's something inevitable in life. No matter what stage of life we are at, we are always on the 'wait'.

While waiting and anticipating for something that is yet to occur, sometimes we tend take the 'present' for granted. Whether it's pass, present or future; each has a purpose of its own.
I like to believe that our choices now will effect many things in the future. But no matter what, we have the assurance of God and we know that situations changem but God will remain the same forever. He is still in control of everything.

Waiting can sometimes be the hardest thing especially when one have to face a thousand and one uncertainties.

But Audrey says, "if there's 1001 uncertainties, there is also 1001 possibilities.. which to believe? the choice is yours. make it a worth-while wait and enjoy the ride to where you are going. Could be a time for foundation building for next stage. Make the most out of every opportunities and make every moment counts. Most importantly, rely on His strength and love, not on our own" =)

grocery-affair

Again, I was at Mid V's jusco and carrefour to pick up some grocery stuff for tonight's yee sang at my apartment.

As I was walking down the fresh food section, lots of things ran into my mind. The vege were so fresh and cheap, and the seafood too.... My mind started to imagine lots of home-cooked food........ I really really really WISH that I have a kitchen here to cook. Kind of sick with eating out everyday.

I miss my kitchen in NZ. Though it's small but it has almost everything. Initially I was supposed to bring my slow cooker with me so I can perhaps have the chance to drink some sort of home cook soup every now and then. I love soups! But yeah... too bad I was travelling alone, already had too many for me to carry on my own. sigh.

love bites

It was barely a week we were here and many of us have fallen sick.
I was struggling with nose probs both morning and night.

When it gets dark, the nyamuk started attacking.. "cis, tak bagi muka langsung!"
So I didnt have pleasant sleep for the past few nights..
But I praise God that orientation is finally over!
Looking forward for a fresh new start of lectures on Monday.

This year, my main interest would be in developing the foundation for my teaching career before i step out into the real world. I pray that God will speak to me specifically in this calling and task that He has prepared for me. On top of that, I pray that God will bring me up to the next level in terms of spiritual growth and I am looking forward for more opportunities to impact lives especially among the youth and young ladies.

I was in the house this evening
God reminds me again about Father's heart
Feel so glad to be home and to catch up with so many old friends
I am proud to see the changes that have taken place within the 2 years
I praise God for the works of His hand

I was speaking to senior pastor's wife and a few that I worked with before
So touched that they still remember me
I praise God for these older ones who has taught me so much
Their heart and passion inspire me heaps

I shall give the song a name
Many words been sang, but all I could remember was these..

"you are...
you are... you are you
"

tears came rolling down my eyes
it was a simple song, randomly sang
yet it speaks profoundly into my heart
and He is right there,
reminding me once again,
I am His precious little gal
I am me
and there's nothing that's going to take His love away
thanks so so so much for the song
I am forever grateful

*moments captured* for today!

new season

so here I am back in IPBA
gonna spend the next 11 months here for final year
many asked if I have settled in
I guess so, but it doesnt feel quite like it

Things are familiar yet very different
Today is the second day of orientation
Dont quite like the fact that they are still treating us like we were in foundation
But anyway, I thank God for a good start of the semester

Doing 5 subjects of 400 levels this semester
It's madness ler..
I wonder how we will ever cope with it
But the seniors survived, so we can do it too!

So with the demand of workload
I have to say bye bye to my plan to continue ballet this year =(

I miss home
I want to go home

Wedding tag

Got tagged quite long ago.. but as usual, my internet at home is slow.. =S

How old are you?
22 years old

Are you single?
Yes. Ready to consider a long term relationship next

In what age do you think you'll get married?
I’ll prefer between 25 -26 but it depends le

Do you think you'll be marrying the person you are with now?
Not with anyone now

If not, who do you want to marry?
??? *him* haha

Do you want a garden/beach or a traditional wedding?
I want my wedding to be like the one I saw in the vision… =D

Your ideal motive?
I believe that’s from Father. And it is simple yet awesome. Like really really awesome… Not so much about the setting or from the world’s point of view, but it’s the whole atmosphere and how things come together… =D

Where do you plan to go on a honeymoon?
I was thinking of either Greece or Maldives. Love Greece’s scenery, especially after I watched “the sisterhood of the traveling pants” fuyohh! Romantic islands. I read an article about the beautiful Maldives island. The island is going to disappear due to effects of global warming. Would love to visit it one day if we have the chance. But I don’t really mind the location; the thing I would treasure the most is the memories and the time we spend together.

How many guests do you think you'll invite?
reception? Shall we have potluck? :P hehe.. kidding. I guess it depends on a lot of things like location and budgets…etc. But most importantly, our family and close friends is a must.

Do you want an extravagant wedding or a simple wedding?
I want it to be simple yet memorable, something to be treasured for life. =)

Do you want the traditional vows or something you'd make up on your own?
DIY! Hehe..

How many layers of cake do you want?
I don’t mind... may be 3?

Do you prefer having your reception at a hotel or a simple place?
Ermm.. hotel? But I guess whether it’s at a hotel or any other place, good atmosphere and the food should be the main emphasis. It goes a lot further into creating a memorable night for the guests and hosts. Not sure if I am making sense? Hehe…

When do you want to get married, morning or evening?
You mean like when we say “I do”? Church ceremony in the morning?

You'd rather have your reception outdoors or indoors?
In Malaysia? Indoors kut. Haha..

Do you like a grand entrance for your groom?
Groom? Hmmm… like *poof* the door open and he ‘floats’ in with lots of helium balloons and the bouquet of flowers along with his mates and ring bearer? Lol. Just kidding.

Name the song/tune you'd like to play at your wedding?
At the moment cant think of any. But if we can put together our own song especially for the wedding it’ll be so cool!

Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night =P

Do you want a solemn ceremony or a light one?
As joyous as possible! Joyful joyful!

Describe your ideal husband/wife?
=D lol. Every time I see this, it always reminds me of what’s in my list and Esther’s. A difference of 2 and 27 items… Hehe.

So here are some of it…
1. God fearing – Love God more than he will ever love me
2. Loves food and eating. Yum yum! Don’t have to know how to cook well, but someone who enjoy exploring cooking and baking will be best.
3. Servant leadership
4. Loves music and worship – at least know how to play one music instrument
5. hua ren / thenr lang
6. accountable to someone
7. huge heart for Jesus and His people
8. Thoughtful
9. friendship- as we journey this life together, always a friend who can hold each other accountable, challenges each other to keep growing in Christ and lift each other when things aren’t going well

=)

Do you prefer fine dining or just the normal spoon & fork/knife?
Erm? Chopsticks? Hehe.. have to practice to improve my chopstick skills. Eheh. Depends ler … Agree with ern, fine dining for special occasions

Champagne or red wine?
Champagne, but red wine is fine too…

Honeymoon right after the wedding or days after the wedding?
hmmm.. it depends :) best when all the ceremony and reception is done?

Money or household items?
" I think I'm going to put up a list of things I need next time, and ppl can just buy me things that I need and if don't want to, money would do just as wonderful. =D " (wong, 2008) :P

Who will pay for the bills?
we shall support share account?! =)

Are you ready for married life?
haha. Not really but I am heading there. Tak de bf lagi le..

Do you think you will still be a virgin until you get married?
YES!

Will you always be true to your wife/husband?

So today is Saturday
Time flies
I am going 'back' to my 'second' home
I am dragging my feet again
Sigh
I wish I can stop the time for a little while more
