beautiful sunset...

Practicum officially ended last week. It was a relief and a mixture of sweetness and sadness. I miss the girls and my colleagues. I was still comtemplating whether I should give it a try. Trusting God to provide and lead me to His plans. Been burying myself unto piles of essays on my bed. Lots to check! Students almost wanted to 'kill' me for giving them so many writing tasks. Hehe.. but it was a bundle of joy to see some of them expressing themselves creatively in such way.

"Chill and rest" may be the theme for the next few weeks before starting the hardcore grinding again. I wonder how it will be to really start serving full time. Looking forward for the suprises!

It was good to meet Pastor Mervin yesterday. And chung, pei sing and shawn isaac were wit us too yesterday. It was like a mini beth kuch reunion again. The good old times!

Prayer conference was great. Through it was quite tiring but we had fun and we were blessed with lots of insight! Praise God.

Been having a bit of sinus problem lately. But thank God the doctor said it was not too serious. And guess what? it was SIXTY bucks for the consultation... adehhh...

I guess that's all for now. More recent pictures on my facebook...

Tata!

capturing-smile

ears caught a gentle knock on the window
head turned towards the source of the sound
eyes caught the blackkie waving
heart melted by that s-m-i-l-e carved on the face
a moment that lasted less than a second, forever captured in this memory

over mee raja, roti hawaii, roti pisang, soft shell crabs, ribena special and heaps more
with two new friends visiting from oz
laughs, catch ups, white coffee, meaningful time
a moment of friendship, an irreplacable joy

7 principles of realities
a text. more than 20 pages in length
who would care to do such a thing
but a treasured friend who sincerely cares

it's thursday.
but seems like a saturday
we took a drive down to KL
ben's place is so cool

lunch calls for mc d
value meals and two great friends
though i was really blur today
but thanks.. for the great company.

nice evening. my current ''roomate'' is out for an award ceremony. proud of her. going down to grab some dinner and perhaps enjoy an evening walk around the neighbourhood. =)

home - KL

home-bound..
touch down yesterday at about 4pm in IPBA
exhausted and the weather wasnt very nice too
dinner with yien rong and went to cg.
spent a night at angel's place. Feel so nice to be at a 'home' environment and a place where I can rest and recover.
We had really great catch up till about 4am.. kesian she has to go to work the next day. But I love it.. just by listening and sharing what we had been through and been up to in life was refreshing. At one point tears was rolling down my cheeks.. touched by the goodness and faithfulness of God in our life.

Yes!.. I thank and praise Father. Though sometimes we may not understand why things happen... and we do not have all the answers to all the questions... we know that He's in control and He is watching over all of us. Thanks, Dad!

worship central..

yes..
may be not...
hmm.. yes?
no?

okay.. may be I should.
YES!

and yep.. I ended up at worship central session last night. It was a NO regret. I am glad I went.

Tim Hughes and the team were awesome. It felt as if I was back in Arise again! Gosh, I miss those days of loud and vibrant worship sessions. Some of our friends from Bethany Kuching were here. Delighted to see them again! Miss u all heaps!

Anyway, it has been great. They shared about worship and two essential words that I caught last night were "PASSION" and "COURAGE"... we need both in our life. Amen!

Anyway, yesterday had been a long but not so fruitful day.

What have I been up to after the exams?
Intel course. Something that makes me feel 'crippled' in the inside especially when I have to work with my 'old ye faithful laptop'. Yea.. despite of all the viruses, super lag response and adapter that has 'moodswing', the "peek-a-boo-moments" with my word docs and the systems that "eat" up some of my files without notifying me .etc... it's amazing how tech can spice up our life.

I can imagine some of you screaming back to my ears, "Audddd... get a new lappie, please!"

yes yes! I know I know.. I need some prayers and support to work things out le.. or may be just wait for a bit more time to collect enough resources. Hehe. Yea. May be I have arrived at the stage where most of us feel that we'll be fine taking care of ourselves without making our parents worry about it.. dont really want to burden them more as they have done so much for us all these years..

But God's my strength and provider. Wait on Him, take heart and be strong..

today's devotional speaks about Provision..

you can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, His generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. (Phil 4:19- MSG)

that's all for now. =)

Earth Hour

28 March 2009
8.30pm to 9.30pm

..one hour of darkness to support global warming campaign..

what was aud doing?
... practising her tambourine dance for next day's workshop, in the dark... (Not exactly.. there was a bit of light from the laptop..)

generally, i guess individual supports for the campaign were good, but not from the major shopping and eating places in Malaysia. What does this reflect? Business first, environment second?

clearance moment

i thank God for the clearance of a few things this morning..

1. curfew extension letter
2. permission to be home for the weekends

Phew! Thanks Mr T.

These few days, i've been on the line a lot trying to get hold of an important lady at the other side. The last time, she requested for a letter from the ministry. After consulting my lecture, he wrote a formal letter and we had it faxed to her on Tues. I pray that this will do for her. When I finally got her this morning, anticipating for the green light to proceed, i was told that she just got back from outside and had not have a chance to look through her mails yet. Yeah. cant blame her as it's been a busy week for everyone. She's a nice lady.

Time is running out. Sometimes I wonder if thing would be easier if I have chosen the other way. But no matter who or what that made me come to this decision, I pray, O Lord for Your grace, mercy and favor. I am relying solely on You, Lord for a smooth process in this task. Grant me Your peace and wisdom. Teach me to be patient and apply my faith in tangible ways.

Initially, I planned to finish my lesson plan today. Finale. But the noise from the construction site next to my room was causing heaps of pain to my ears and head. Arghh.. did nothing much at the end, but took a nap due to headache.

too hard?

it's odd.
for the past few days,
i have been waking up suddenly between 5.30 - 5.49am

for first few days
i was super sleepy and tired
so I went back to sleep ( 0.o)"

then i realised it happened again
and i have been reading a lot about Jesus praying at Gethesmane
and about Him warning the disciples to keep watch and pray during qt..
hehe.. it's a sign for me to get back on my knees.. been slacking in it

it's been a while since I woke up super early to spend time with Him
Been staying up late for a few things
Should learn to sleep early

this morning i woke up at about 7 am - ish
had a very 'interesting' dream.. involved heaps of people i know
i went back to sleep (wanted to find out the ending) hehe.. sounds familiar?
but it left me hanging..

a lot been running through my mind
lots of 'whats' and 'ifs'
but I praise God, for His great love and purpose surpases all

at breakfast this morning
esther's dad came out of the room after praying saying in his cheerful voice, "is there anything too hard for the Lord?"

that's an assurance for me.
Indeed, nothing is too hard for Him.

today is 13th march, that's only a quarter way through
battles getting more intense and the air gets denser each day.
datelines. expectations.
stress. tiredness. soreness. sickness
hang in there, aud
dwell under His wings and let nothing shakes you
I wonder if they do delivery for starbucks like MC dee n Dominos ...
Anyway, we'll be going for a short breakaway at Redang. Do pray for good weather and God's protection for all.
God bless.

...

i am beginning to see the big picture
i am beginning to understand what it is all about
so much so I have arrived
Here I am
Not looking back
But pressing forward

What's for tomorrow
We may not understand
But we know who holds tomorrow
And we know who holds our hands

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect
before which difficulties disappears and obstacles vanish

When it comes to doing life together
We all have to learn how to do life together

Nothing is easy brizzy in life
but we are here for each other till the end of life

the wait

Lately, I have been talking to a few people about 'wait'. Indeed, it's something inevitable in life. No matter what stage of life we are at, we are always on the 'wait'.

While waiting and anticipating for something that is yet to occur, sometimes we tend take the 'present' for granted. Whether it's pass, present or future; each has a purpose of its own.
I like to believe that our choices now will effect many things in the future. But no matter what, we have the assurance of God and we know that situations changem but God will remain the same forever. He is still in control of everything.

Waiting can sometimes be the hardest thing especially when one have to face a thousand and one uncertainties.

But Audrey says, "if there's 1001 uncertainties, there is also 1001 possibilities.. which to believe? the choice is yours. make it a worth-while wait and enjoy the ride to where you are going. Could be a time for foundation building for next stage. Make the most out of every opportunities and make every moment counts. Most importantly, rely on His strength and love, not on our own" =)

love bites

It was barely a week we were here and many of us have fallen sick.
I was struggling with nose probs both morning and night.

When it gets dark, the nyamuk started attacking.. "cis, tak bagi muka langsung!"
So I didnt have pleasant sleep for the past few nights..
But I praise God that orientation is finally over!
Looking forward for a fresh new start of lectures on Monday.

This year, my main interest would be in developing the foundation for my teaching career before i step out into the real world. I pray that God will speak to me specifically in this calling and task that He has prepared for me. On top of that, I pray that God will bring me up to the next level in terms of spiritual growth and I am looking forward for more opportunities to impact lives especially among the youth and young ladies.

I was in the house this evening
God reminds me again about Father's heart
Feel so glad to be home and to catch up with so many old friends
I am proud to see the changes that have taken place within the 2 years
I praise God for the works of His hand

I was speaking to senior pastor's wife and a few that I worked with before
So touched that they still remember me
I praise God for these older ones who has taught me so much
Their heart and passion inspire me heaps

I shall give the song a name
Many words been sang, but all I could remember was these..

"you are...
you are... you are you
"

tears came rolling down my eyes
it was a simple song, randomly sang
yet it speaks profoundly into my heart
and He is right there,
reminding me once again,
I am His precious little gal
I am me
and there's nothing that's going to take His love away
thanks so so so much for the song
I am forever grateful

capturing moments

I was sitting here for more than 10 mins, still thinking of what to write. Homecoming has definitely caused a significant shift in my life. Things are familiar yet I find it quite different. May be it's just me that have changed a lot. I find it amazing how the 2 years in NZ have shaped my life and perspective about many things.
I have learned and still learning to appreciate every moment in life. Whether it's good or bad moments, that's part and parcel of life. I guess that what makes life more colourful.
Since I landed, many times when faced with hard things, I often asked why did God send me back here to face all these. Yet in the midst of storms, He often did wonders and surprises me with a lot of things. i praise God for His greatness and faithfulness. I am grateful for the 'angels' that He has sent to encourage me to press on, to pray for me and with me. Not only that, it was an opportunity for me to feel His heartbeat for these people and myself. God loves, that's definite.
Time is short. Just as I began to get a bit adjusted to life here, I realised I have only a few weeks left before tapping into a new dimension. *cringe* I dont know what to expect tho. I pray that as I surrender to You, Father, You'll lead me to where You want me to be. I want the things You want for me.
Dad came home with a mixer today! yeah! Praise God. Gonna start baking for cny.
Looking forward for Christmas, the homecoming, and a memorable dinner. Not sure what's goin to happen but I am sure Father already has a hand in it. He's going to make it awesome.
I have my ballet costume tailor-made. Cost me quite a lot but it seems that now the plan isnt going that well. They have changed the original plan to carolling at a shopping mall and christmas lunch at the restaurant. I am looking forward to it. But I am still wondering where to fit in the performance leh? Anyway, surrending it all to God. Let it be done according to Your will, not mine.
Just got back from bible camp. Learned a lot of things and met a lot of new people. My biggest lesson is to appreaciate water more now as during our stay there, there was a bad lack in the water supply. Guess it's a good time to be away to catch some breath and just be immersed in His presence and testimonies.
We had came session this morning with the mission team from Auckland. Felt so blessed by their sharing. Pastor Alfred prayed for me and really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit "sister, you are CALLED... You are called to carry His message."
Did lots of shopping for cny clothings and shoes. *so there goes a hole in every pockets* but I miss this bit ever since I was away. CNY shopping with mummy is always the best.
Had the most expensive haircut so far in my life. 55 per haircut. It was nice for the first few days but now I feel that it's making me look a bit too mature that I like it to be. Aihs. Girls... haha. Still considering weather I want to have it straighten or permed.
Just baked durian cake for 2nd time. First time was too sweet (according to grandparents and parents) this time, I put less sugar (they said it's nice but I find it better with more sugar). I have sweet-toothe? haha.. may be.
it's 1am now. So i'll continue to update you all next time.
