Here are some of the recent pics of the "makan-gang" ... close friends in college that I usually hang out with for dinner and sometimes, movies ..

Flashback 1: Sisters Outing
I know I havent been updating my blog for ages.. Hehe.. So since I am on "holiday" now, I'll try to update you on happenings since January.
It has been a "riveting" experience this semester.. a fusion of many good and sad things, but God is GOOD! cant emphasize more! I am amazed by how things have changed in me and around me over the last few years. Though sometimes it's difficult, but I am grateful that God is always there for me, together with my fellow friends and family.

Lots to share with you all.. so stay tuned! =)
sharings and pictures are in random orders...
First up, sisters outing! We have been planning for this outing together (just the FOUR of us!) since January. Yea.. but our mission was fulfilled only when the sem was about to end. Why? All of us have been busy with stuff and 'people'.. hehe..
But it's been great doing life together with these three young and beautiful ladies since my first day of college. Cant imagine how life is without you gals.

Most of us are entering the next phase of life where we are "beginning" to engage in a more serious talk about some life decisions. Haha.. sounds pretty deep. It's funny how lately our sharings and talks now revolve around responsibilities of life, careers, marriage, obligations of adulthood..etc. Haha.. it's a sign, huh?
I remember those times when one of us were really down, we'll be there to sing a song and pray for one another, speaking words of encouragement and reminding one another about the promises of God... the times when all of us "squeezed" into one bed and stayed up late to watch movies and series.. and the junk food. Yummy! And how we lifted one another during those madness with workload and other relationship issues .. I praise God for all of you.

worship central..
yes..
may be not...
hmm.. yes?
no?
okay.. may be I should.
YES!
and yep.. I ended up at worship central session last night. It was a NO regret. I am glad I went.
Tim Hughes and the team were awesome. It felt as if I was back in Arise again! Gosh, I miss those days of loud and vibrant worship sessions. Some of our friends from Bethany Kuching were here. Delighted to see them again! Miss u all heaps!
Anyway, it has been great. They shared about worship and two essential words that I caught last night were "PASSION" and "COURAGE"... we need both in our life. Amen!
Anyway, yesterday had been a long but not so fruitful day.
What have I been up to after the exams?
Intel course. Something that makes me feel 'crippled' in the inside especially when I have to work with my 'old ye faithful laptop'. Yea.. despite of all the viruses, super lag response and adapter that has 'moodswing', the "peek-a-boo-moments" with my word docs and the systems that "eat" up some of my files without notifying me .etc... it's amazing how tech can spice up our life.
I can imagine some of you screaming back to my ears, "Audddd... get a new lappie, please!"
yes yes! I know I know.. I need some prayers and support to work things out le.. or may be just wait for a bit more time to collect enough resources. Hehe. Yea. May be I have arrived at the stage where most of us feel that we'll be fine taking care of ourselves without making our parents worry about it.. dont really want to burden them more as they have done so much for us all these years..
But God's my strength and provider. Wait on Him, take heart and be strong..
today's devotional speaks about Provision..
you can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, His generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. (Phil 4:19- MSG)
that's all for now. =)

final lap...
January and February : Arghh.. I wish I am not back here.. College life is "ughh". it's madness
March: Okay.. it's getting more intense but may be it's not that bad. Coins has two sides. If one side is ugly, then flip to the other side. Anyway, learn to appreciate and be thankful for both the beauty and the ugly ones. Life isnt perfect. But imperfection is what makes life interesting.
April 15 (today): 3 more assignments in 2 weeks and 2 exam papers in May!! pheww... how did we get this far? unbelievable. After this there wont be assignments anymore.. cool huh?
just rambling.. hehe. should get back to work now. GBU.

clearance moment
i thank God for the clearance of a few things this morning..
1. curfew extension letter
2. permission to be home for the weekends
Phew! Thanks Mr T.
These few days, i've been on the line a lot trying to get hold of an important lady at the other side. The last time, she requested for a letter from the ministry. After consulting my lecture, he wrote a formal letter and we had it faxed to her on Tues. I pray that this will do for her. When I finally got her this morning, anticipating for the green light to proceed, i was told that she just got back from outside and had not have a chance to look through her mails yet. Yeah. cant blame her as it's been a busy week for everyone. She's a nice lady.
Time is running out. Sometimes I wonder if thing would be easier if I have chosen the other way. But no matter who or what that made me come to this decision, I pray, O Lord for Your grace, mercy and favor. I am relying solely on You, Lord for a smooth process in this task. Grant me Your peace and wisdom. Teach me to be patient and apply my faith in tangible ways.
Initially, I planned to finish my lesson plan today. Finale. But the noise from the construction site next to my room was causing heaps of pain to my ears and head. Arghh.. did nothing much at the end, but took a nap due to headache.

back to life
Greeting from muar, johore!
Hehe. A few of us just got back from our trip to Redang Island. Now we are back to our respective 'home' and starting a 'war' with the Assessment assignment due on Monday! i am staying at Esther's till the weekend..
Back to the dense air in college. Datelines datelines.. and more confusion..
but I thank God for a short but refreshing time in Redang. Just relax and have the whole the time to ourselves ... with no assignments or work nonsence. Haha.. will post the pics when i have the time.
Kays, back to assignment now.. God bless!

old town kopitiam
Last night we had dinner at old time kopitiam to celeb a friend's bday, Aizat's.
I love this place.. especially the interior deco and all..

harold was the first who went up for the speaker's corner. It's a 8 mins free topic public speaking conducted during break time.
a few of us sang a song for madam ng's retirement ceremony

Pictures...
MJ cafe at Jaya 33
This is probably my new fav makan place in KL. It's a walking distance from church. Nice food. Reasonable price.
Nancie with her pinepple rice. I reckon it's such a lovely idea of presenting the food. Apparently they have a set where u can order the rice and the pineapple juice for rm8.50. Good price for this in KL
this was in church during a bible knowldge talk for future teachers and teachers. It's tomyum bihun. What I like is they've got different stuff such as "hae bi" (small shrimps?) and i think it's called lime leaves and a few other stuff that enhances the taste! Yumm
Curry bread at MJ. Another attracting way of presenting a dish. A yummy one. Looks like coconut but it's actually made out of bread.
Hakka mee... I have never heard of hakka mee before till that day. Lol. This tasted like the typical "kai see me" (chicken shreded noodle) in Tabuan Jaya's kopitiam. Nice but dont quite like the soup that goes with this..
this was at "atmosphera", a new place in Kuching, my personal fav. I love the dessert and the ambiance.. Cheryl and I had a good time catching up while spoiling ourselves with cheese cakes and macademia choc..

this was my not so successful 'checkboard' biscuits. It was too 'soft' for me to form checkers, so made it spiral instead. Haha. Miss baking..
Lindz's bday cake from the juniors. Custom-made cupcakes. That was superb!
Sending the wellingtonian juniors off at KLIA during valetines 2009I dont normally go for spicy food.
But this was special.
My nose and eyes were tearing.
Sambal was so spicy.
I wanted to give up.
But it's irresistable.
I stayed right till the end.
It was real good!

time to spread the wings

Last night a few of us were at KLIA to send our juniours off. This was the first group to leave and there are 4 groups leaving within the next few days. Gonna miss u all heapsss...
It felt as if it was only yesterday when we were leaving. At that time, 2 years seemed very long but it's actually not.
I thank God for the opportunity to experience life at the other part of the world. 2 years in NZ may be short but it definitely had left a huge impact in many aspects of my life. Praise God.

grocery-affair
.jpg)
Again, I was at Mid V's jusco and carrefour to pick up some grocery stuff for tonight's yee sang at my apartment.
As I was walking down the fresh food section, lots of things ran into my mind. The vege were so fresh and cheap, and the seafood too.... My mind started to imagine lots of home-cooked food........ I really really really WISH that I have a kitchen here to cook. Kind of sick with eating out everyday.
I miss my kitchen in NZ. Though it's small but it has almost everything. Initially I was supposed to bring my slow cooker with me so I can perhaps have the chance to drink some sort of home cook soup every now and then. I love soups! But yeah... too bad I was travelling alone, already had too many for me to carry on my own. sigh.

new season
so here I am back in IPBA
gonna spend the next 11 months here for final year
many asked if I have settled in
I guess so, but it doesnt feel quite like it
Things are familiar yet very different
Today is the second day of orientation
Dont quite like the fact that they are still treating us like we were in foundation
But anyway, I thank God for a good start of the semester
Doing 5 subjects of 400 levels this semester
It's madness ler..
I wonder how we will ever cope with it
But the seniors survived, so we can do it too!
So with the demand of workload
I have to say bye bye to my plan to continue ballet this year =(
I miss home
I want to go home
